Okay, so I did not have work today, but Paul and I decided to take advantage of the fact and go for a bike ride. We like to go along a trail that runs along the Santa Ana riverbed. I am not sure where exactly it starts (somewhere is San Bernardino, I think) but it goes all the way down to Huntington Beach. There is an access point down the street and around the corner from our apartment complex. We had a really good ride!

1. I am left-handed.

2. I eat continental style (I hold my fork with my left hand, cut with my right, and then just put the knife down and eat with the fork...no switching hands...I think it is because I was taught to cut my food by my parents, who are both right-handed, but then I just ate the food using my fork in my left hand...most comfortable for me).

3. When I was little, I had a metal Pirates of the Caribbean lunch box...from the Disneyland ride.

4. I can remember having a black and white T.V. that needed pliers in order to change the channels. When we did get a color T.V., I remember being irritated finding out that The Munster's was actually in black and white.

5. I had an imaginary friend that I COULD SEE.

Okay, so last night was our monthly "Girl's Night" that I have with some friends. To tell you the truth, at first the prospect of going wasn't appealing because I had a REALLY rough day at work (I won't even GO there, let's just say that kindergarten teachers deserve medals) and I wanted to just crash...but then I thought that it would actually be the perfect remedy. And boy, was it. We met at my friend Lisa's house and talked and played games.  I haven't laughed that much, and that hard for quite a while...perfect "therepy" after my stressful day!

Between the earthquake last night and the wind today, we should have just let the kids at school stay home today...all they wanted to talk about was the earthquake, and they were on "inclement weather schedule" because of the wind, meaning that they could not go out to recess...needless to say, not much work was accomplished today!  I am glad that it is the weekend now, and that the wind is supposed to stop by Sunday. I am glad that it is Friday and I was able to let the kids just relax and have a somewhat easy day, as well.
