My Sweet Hubby
Submitted by sarahdarr on Sat, 11/08/2008 - 18:08.Paul is so sweet! This morning he woke me up with breakfast in bed.
It was so nice (and yummy too...breakfast burritos). I really am spoiled. I am lucky too. When Paul and I first started dating, I realized that he was different than any guy that I had ever liked, had a crush on, etc. I knew that I had to keep a hold of this one. When we got married, I knew that I was one of the luckiest people in the world, because I get to spend eternity with this man! The past 6+ years have been the happiest years that I have had, by far (it was hard when he was in Iraq, but I was usually happy then as well because

A reindeer ornament that I made as a sample for an activity that we are going to have for church (we are doing the activity in November so that we can have all our cute Christmas stuff ready by December).

Substitutes Beware...there may be biting
Submitted by sarahdarr on Sat, 10/25/2008 - 16:33.This was a really long week for me. Most of it was really good, but it was long. On Monday I was in a kindergarten classroom (I was actually in kindergarten classrooms all week, at the same school...the teachers were testing the kids) that had a kid with ODD. For those of you wondering what that is, it stands for Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and no, I did not make that up. ODD is classified as when a child "has a persistent pattern of tantrums, arguing, and angry or disruptive behaviors toward you and other authority figures" (I looked it up on the Mayo clinic website to make sure that I was understanding it correctly). To break it down, if I did or said anything that this child did not like, he lashed out, usually with a tantrum.

Wind + Kids = Augh!
Submitted by sarahdarr on Wed, 10/15/2008 - 02:34.Okay...so you know how windy it was yesterday (and part of today, but especially yesterday)? When it is that windy, they (meaning administrators) do not let the kids go out to play. It has already been proven (not scientifically, but still) that when it is windy the kids go crazy. It must be something that is literally in the air. Combine this with being cooped up all day...lets just say I was ready for them to go home. Luckily, today was not as bad, so the kids could go out. It was kind of funny...I was trying to tell them to face away from the wind so that they would avoid getting sand and woodchips in their faces (really, playgrounds can wreak havoc on kids), but they didn't seem to get the concept...I guess that with

Spiders!!
Submitted by sarahdarr on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 15:35.Okay, so the freakiest thing happened at work yesterday. All of the kids were actually there (meaning no absences), so they got to put out their school flag. One of the girls grabbed it from the corner of the classroom (it was kind of dusty, I guess that it is not often that they get to actually put it out) and then for some reason or another (I'm seriously thinking protection from Heavenly Father), put it down on a table. Well, as soon as she put it down, she screamed, "A black widow!

Getting Ready for Halloween!!
Submitted by sarahdarr on Wed, 10/01/2008 - 20:26.I am sooo excited! I LOVE decorating for the holidays. I already have my fall decorations up, but now that it is October, I can add my Halloween decorations to them. I only wish that it was cooler...I hope that it will at least be cool by the time we reach Halloween...It doesn't really feel like Halloween without it being cool. I guess that we will see.
